SPARK PLUG WIRES

The weak link in electronics in your
car is spark plug wires. The heat of
the engine, spilling oil on them or just
cheap wires will break wires down.
It goes without saying that the more
expensive spark plug wires will outlast
others. (Watching to catch them on sale
can save you a few bucks.)
Look at the routing of the wires and
see that none of them touch hot parts of
the engine. It's not only bad because
of heat but road vibration can cause

the wire to rub and wear through.
Then you have an engine miss. The
spark is now going to the engine
instead of the plugs.
If you have a miss and suspect
the wires, raise the hood at night
in a dark area & start the engine.
Look closely in the area of wires.
If you have a shorted wire, you'll
see a spark and know the wires
must be replaced. Instructions for
changing them are on each box.
